About Optify

Optify is a self-funded startup from San Francisco, USA. Dave, the CEO, is also the owner of David Kind, which we’ve been working on for some time before working in Optify. It is a specially designed and customizable e-commerce software for optometrists. It allows professionals to offer services that only optometrists can provide, helping them to sell prescribed eyewear under their brand while maintaining the patient relationship.

The Challenge

Given that we’ve been working with Dave before on David Kind, we knew what was the vision for Optify. The main challenge was to bring the best parts of David Kind into Optify and refine, analyze, develop, and advise the product owner about which decisions were the best for the product.

The Solution

As we’ve been working with David Kind since 2018, we knew what the new platform was going to be like. Even though Optify has a team of its own, they trusted us to be a part of the team to help them with our expertise. Since we started working with Optify, a lot of our people contributed to its growth. Ruby on Rails developers, front-end developers, and QA analysts were part of the project.

The Outcome

Over the years, we took a key role in the development of the platform. Some of the features we’re proud of being part of are the back office, the renewal of the admin dashboard, the scrapers, and the modern and customizable store design.

"Their team is very reactive, even with our four-hour time difference. If an issue pops up during off-hours, they still make sure to jump on it. They work as if they're in the same room as us. That responsiveness has built trust between us."
